2023 Election: Buhari casts vote in Katsina
President Muhammadu Buhari has joined millions of Nigerians to cast his vote in the presidential and National Assembly elections, which is currently ongoing across the country. The President and his family exercised their civic duty at the Sarkin Yara polling unit, in Daura, Katsina State.

Bashir Ahmad, the Special Assistant on Digital Communications to the President, confirmed this development in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle. He noted that the President and his family cast their votes in the early hours of the day, which is commendable, as it will encourage other eligible voters to participate in the election.

The President urged eligible voters to come out en masse to exercise their civic rights and vote for the candidate of their choice.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up across the country, with the deployment of personnel from various security agencies to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free electoral process. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has also assured Nigerians of its readiness to conduct a free, fair, and credible election.
