The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has taken a step forward in validating the results of last Saturday's presidential election by officially announcing the collated results of 29 states at the national collation center in Abuja.

On Tuesday, State Collation Officers for the Presidential Election (SCOPE) presented collated results from 15 states including Niger, Benue, FCT, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Abia, Kogi, Bauchi, Plateau, Bayelsa, Kaduna, Kebbi, Kano, Zamfara and Sokoto. The validation of these results marks a significant milestone in the electoral process.

However, the proceedings were later adjourned for two hours, and the validation of the remaining eight states is still pending. These states are Rivers, Cross River, Delta, Imo, Ebonyi, Anambra, Borno, and Taraba. It is expected that the validation of these results will take place soon.

The validation of the results is a crucial step towards the announcement of the winner of the presidential election. The electoral commission has continued to work diligently to ensure that the process is transparent, credible, and fair. It is hoped that the validation of the remaining results will be completed without any further delay so that the electoral process can be concluded and the winner can be announced.
