2023 Election: Obi Beats Tinubu, Atiku in Plateau State
Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, has emerged victorious in the presidential election conducted in Plateau State, Nigeria. The State Collation Officer, Professor Shehu Abdulrahman, announced the summary of the results, which indicated that Obi had scored the highest votes cast in the election. Obi's closest rivals in the race were Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to Prof. Abdulrahman, the LP candidate scored 466,272 votes, while the PDP candidate scored 243,808 votes and the APC candidate scored 307,195 votes. The LP candidate's victory is indicative of the widespread support he garnered from Plateau State's electorate, which was evident in the massive voter turnout recorded during the election.

Observers noted that the Plateau State presidential election was largely peaceful, and voters conducted themselves in an orderly manner. The election was conducted in compliance with electoral laws and guidelines, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ensured that the process was transparent and credible.

Obi's victory in Plateau State is significant as it demonstrates the Labour Party's growing popularity in the state, and across Nigeria. The LP has been campaigning on a platform of socio-economic development, job creation, and poverty reduction, which has resonated with many Nigerians who are eager for change. Obi's success in the presidential election is expected to inspire other candidates and parties to work harder to win the support of voters in future elections.
