In the National Assembly elections held in Niger State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Niger South Senatorial District, Peter Ndalikali, emerged victorious defeating the incumbent Senator, Mohammed Bima Enagi of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ndalikali scored 100,684 votes, while Bima Enagi polled 97,453 votes. The Returning Officer for Niger South Senatorial Election, Dr Abubakar Mohammed, declared Ndalikali the winner having scored the highest votes and satisfied the conditions of the law.
This outcome reflects the shifting political landscape in Niger State and highlights the growing strength of the PDP in the state.
