Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged as the winner of the hotly contested presidential election in Rivers State. With a total of 231,591 votes, Tinubu garnered the highest number of votes, effectively defeating his closest rival, Peter Obi, who ran under the Labour Party, with a total of 175,071 votes.
This victory is a major achievement for Tinubu and the APC, as Rivers State is widely regarded as a stronghold of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP's presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar, came in third place with a total of 88,468 votes.
