2023 Election: Tinubu Leads in 10 Zamfara LGAs
In the ongoing Nigerian Presidential elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has taken an early lead over his main rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara state. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced results from 10 out of the 14 local government areas in the state, with Tinubu emerging as the frontrunner.

According to the latest figures released by INEC, Tinubu secured 214,074 votes, while Atiku Abubakar garnered 104,828 votes, indicating a significant gap between the two candidates. Meanwhile, the candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Labour Party (LP) are trailing behind with 1,524 and 429 votes, respectively.

Zamfara state has traditionally been a stronghold for the APC, and the early results indicate that the party is likely to retain its dominance in the state. However, the PDP has put up a strong fight, and there are still four local government areas whose results are yet to be announced. These results could potentially swing the election in favour of either candidate.

The ongoing elections have been closely watched by Nigerians and international observers alike, given the high stakes involved. The winner of the presidential race will be tasked with addressing a range of pressing issues, including insecurity, economic growth, and corruption. Many voters in Zamfara state have cited these issues as their top concerns and will be closely monitoring the final results to see which candidate is better equipped to tackle them.
