2023: SDP’s Adewale Adebayo raps Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar over Chatham House ‘campaigns’

The Social Democratic Party's (SDP) Prince Adewale Adebayo, who is running for president, has criticised some other candidates for speaking or campaigning at Chatham House in the UK. He described it as a situation including erroneous priorities and an inferiority complex.

He made this statement while meeting with people and presenting the party's plan at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS), Kuru in Jos.

“I am ashamed of that because it makes no sense seeing presidential candidates rushing to go and speak to the outside audience. I mean people who do not know anything about our electoral system or governance when we have in place the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies here,” he stated.

He said that if he were elected president of Nigeria, he would ensure that all Nigerians, no matter where they lived, could get health care, electricity, clean water, transportation, and a good internet connection.

Prince Adebayo also said that he would ensure everyone got a good education, whether they lived in a remote village or a big city. He emphasised that the needed school supplies would be brought to the rural schools, just like in the First Republic.

Professor Ayo Omotayo, the Director General of NIPSS, also spoke. He said that the idea behind the interactive session with the candidates of political parties was to show them that they didn’t need to go to London or anywhere else to meet with stakeholders.

He said that the Social Democratic Party candidate was the first guest on the show, and he promised that other people would come if they were invited before the general elections.
