In Delta State's Oshimili LGA, two BVAS machines were lost, while in Safana LGA of Katsina State, thugs attacked a voting location and snatched six BVAS machines. However, security agencies have recovered three of the six BVAS machines.
Yakubu stated that the target of thugs was the BVAS machines, adding that the commission's job was to guarantee free, fair, and credible elections.
He also acknowledged that some challenges had arisen, such as the inability to open some polling units (PUs) on time. Nonetheless, he ensured that all voters in the queue at the PU until 2:30 pm would be able to vote.
