Coalition Cautions Against Inciting Comments by Parties and Supporters
As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues the collation of results for the recently concluded presidential election, the National Coalition for Peace and Unity (NCPU) has issued a warning to political parties and their supporters to refrain from making utterances that could destabilize the country.

In a statement released by the Protem Secretary General of the coalition, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, the NCPU expressed concern over threats made by some politicians, who warned that the #Endsars protests would be a child's play if the election results do not go their way.

The coalition emphasized the need for politicians to exercise restraint and be mindful of their statements, as such comments could incite violence and destroy the prevailing peaceful environment in the country.

The NCPU also called on political parties to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith and to avoid any actions that could threaten the stability of the country.

The coalition emphasized the need for all stakeholders to support the electoral process and work towards ensuring the credibility of the results.

The warning by the NCPU comes at a time when tensions are high, with political parties and their supporters anxious about the outcome of the elections.

It is important for all stakeholders to remain calm and avoid any actions or utterances that could undermine the peace and stability of the country.

The electoral body must also ensure that the collation process is transparent and fair and that the final results reflect the true wishes of the Nigerian people.
