Gov. Adeleke Declares Friday Public Holiday in Osun
 Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared Friday, February 24th, 2023, as a public holiday in the state. 

This was announced in a statement released by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on Wednesday, February 22nd. 

The statement revealed that the governor made the declaration to enable the people of Osun state to participate in the upcoming presidential election. 

The statement also explained that the governor is committed to free, fair, and credible elections as well as a peaceful transition of government in the state. 

The Governor urged all citizens of Osun state to utilize the declared public holiday to exercise their civic responsibility by casting their votes for their choice of candidates in the election. 

He reminded citizens that the future of the state lies in the hands of the electorate and urged them to go out and cast their votes. 

The election which is scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, has been described by many as a crucial one, as it has the potential to shape the future of Nigeria. 

The governor's timely declaration of a public holiday for the state is seen as an effort to ensure the success of the election and a peaceful transition of government.
