Adebowale Adedayo, often known as Mr Macaroni, is a well-known comedian and sketch creator. He claims that rather than running for office, the All Progressives Congress should beg Nigerians' pardon for the misery it has brought upon them recently.
The comedian called the suffering of Nigerians "wicked" as he used Twitter on Friday to voice his unhappiness over the country's continuing fuel shortage and other issues.
He wrote, “Instead of Campaigning, APC should be begging and asking for forgiveness from Nigerians every morning, afternoon and night for the hardship and suffering that has come with this fuel scarcity alone. This is wickedness!!!”
Additionally, in response to a video that House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila shared on Twitter, Macaroni claimed it was upsetting that politicians "do not care" about the general public.
In the five-minute video, the Speaker of the House of Representatives complimented Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, and said he was the ideal choice for the job.
Gbajabiamila praised Tinubu's accomplishments and noted his track record of excellence as the former governor of Lagos State.
However, in response to the video, Adedayo stated that he had anticipated the Speaker to at least have addressed the people's suffering to give them hope that all would be okay.
The comedian tweeted, “Seeing a video from ‘Our’ Speaker, I honestly thought this video was going to address fuel scarcity, naira scarcity, killings, and all other vices the people are suffering from. Something to give the people hope. Honestly, this is so painful. These people don’t care!!!”
