Tinubu’s educational qualifications, including his birth records, have been a contentious issue, and Charly Boy took to Twitter to deride the President-elect for allegedly falsifying his records.
In his tweet, Charly Boy referred to the only certificate that Tinubu has ever obtained, which according to him, is the INEC certificate. He also referenced Tinubu's drug conviction in the United States, claiming that adding an alleged drug baron to the Nigerian presidency would be suicidal for the country's global image.
Charly Boy further alleged that the APC candidate falsified his age and educational records after he failed to provide INEC with the original credentials regarding his qualifications.
Charly Boy’s trolling of Mr Tinubu follows allegations made during the president-elect’s bid and campaign for the presidency. Some members of the public have accused Tinubu of falsifying his records, including his age and educational qualifications, and it is unclear how these claims will be addressed by the incoming administration.
In a leaked telephone conversation with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Charly Boy reportedly discussed ways to force the hands of the APC regime and INEC to cancel the presidential election, including calling Nigerian youths to the streets to “occupy Nigeria.”
Despite calls for the election to be cancelled by Mr Obi, Mr Abubakar, and their parties, INEC declared Tinubu the winner of the February 25 presidential election, with over 8 million votes. The defeated candidates and their supporters have vowed to challenge the election results in court.
