Dino Melaye predicts Tinubu's victory as temporary and short-lived
Senator Dino Melaye, a spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council (PCC), has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rigged the presidential and National Assembly elections held last Saturday. In a video broadcast on his verified Facebook page, the former lawmaker said that President-elect Bola Tinubu’s victory is temporary and will soon be overturned.

Melaye accused INEC of over-voting, stating that 90% of the state results presented announced over-voting. He added that strongholds of the PDP were declared over-voting and elections were cancelled in those areas. The former lawmaker claimed that over-voting recorded amounted to over two million votes.

Melaye further accused INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, of stabbing the soul of Nigeria and graduating from having inconclusive elections in his first tenure to over-voting in his second term in office.

"Our nation is bleeding; the soul and spirit of our nation are crying for justice and vengeance," Melaye said.

He also said that Tinubu’s victory is "temporal and evaporative," adding that the PDP will upturn the "stolen mandate."

On Wednesday, INEC announced that Tinubu, a candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), won the poll.
