Edo guber: I'm governor, I'll win my polling unit - Obaseki
Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, has expressed confidence in his ability to win his polling unit and emerge victorious in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state. Obaseki, who cast his vote at his polling unit, Emokpae Primary School, Ward 4, Unit 19 in Oredo Local Government Area, said that he was in charge and confident of winning his unit.

The governor, who arrived at the polling unit at about 10:05 am, was accompanied by his wife, Betsy Obaseki, and other top government officials. He was welcomed by his supporters, who chanted his name as he walked towards the polling unit.

Speaking with journalists after casting his vote, Obaseki said, "I am very confident of winning my polling unit. I am in charge and I have done everything I need to do to win this election. I have mobilized my people and I am sure that they will vote for me."

Obaseki also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful conduct of the election so far. He said that he had visited several polling units in the state and observed that the exercise was going on smoothly.
