High Court affirms Bwacha as Taraba APC candidate
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Taraba governorship candidate, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, has hailed the Federal High Court judgment affirming him as the party's authentic candidate.

The judgment was described as a sign of victory at the poll by Mr Aaron Artimas, the spokesperson for Bwacha Governorship Campaign Council. Artimas called on the Taraba people to disregard fake news from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and vote for Bwacha as governor.

The court's verdict means that Bwacha's name is the authentic APC governorship candidate on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. Artimas urged the electorate to be informed and not be deceived by PDP's fake news, stating that the court and INEC had cleared Bwacha's name.

Artimas said Bwacha would make Taraba people smile again, promising good governance and development for the state. The APC candidate's first project would be the payment of all outstanding pensions and gratuity, the unity of all Taraba people, and the return of all displaced persons to their ancestral homes.

The governorship candidate would also tackle ethnic clashes in the state, a significant concern for residents. Bwacha would prioritise resolving these issues before embarking on the proper development of Taraba state.

On Wednesday, the Federal High Court in Jalingo upheld Bwacha as the valid APC candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election on March 18, 2023. The court's verdict ended the PDP's campaign against Bwacha's candidacy, aimed at disqualifying him from the race.
