He stated that the Commission had received sensitive election materials that would be distributed to the 20 local government areas of the state on Thursday.
To ensure smooth transportation of personnel and materials during the election, Nura revealed that the Commission had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with transport unions, including the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO).
The Commission is engaging relevant stakeholders, especially the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), to ensure the safe delivery of election materials and peaceful conduct of the election.
Nura reiterated INEC's commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible elections, and urged voters to conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise. He urged people in the state to turn out en masse to exercise their franchise in a peaceful atmosphere.
"We are ready to go and appealed to the people of the state to conduct themselves orderly and peacefully during the election. People should turn out en masse to exercise their franchise in a peaceful atmosphere," he said.
The Bauchi State Governorship election promises to be a keenly contested affair, with a significant number of candidates vying for the position.
