Osinbajo's office works till 9 pm, sometimes midnight - Official

Laolu Akande, the spokesperson for Nigeria's Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, has said that the office works till late in the night and that staff are inspired by their principal to work hard. Akande stated that the average closing time in the office over the past eight years has been 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. and on some occasions, staff had worked past midnight. He added that the Vice-President serves as an inspiration to build a better future for individuals, groups and the country.

Akande explained that the place of inspiration and imagination in the pursuit of personal or national fulfilment is pivotal and irreplaceable and this is why people who can inspire must remain in front. He added that watching the Vice-President do things is in itself an inspiration.

He made these remarks in a congratulatory message to his principal, who turned 66 on Wednesday. Akande emphasized that people like Osinbajo exist to inspire individuals, groups and nations to attain goals and objectives that advance their causes and lead irrevocably to greatness. He described Osinbajo as someone who provokes something in people, which conduces towards excellence, endurance, and empathy attributes that he himself exemplifies.

According to Akande, Osinbajo exudes excellence, which helps people discover hidden capacities. He prayed for the Vice-President on his birthday that his strength, wisdom, and favour would be with God and man.

The Vice-President of Nigeria is known for his work ethic and has been described as a hands-on administrator. Osinbajo has been praised for his efforts in supporting small businesses and championing the economic diversification of the country. He has also been a vocal advocate for restructuring the Nigerian federation to give more powers to states and regions.
