Mallam Abdullahi Ibrahim, the leader of the Gbeganu-Sir-Block Industry community, stated that the intervention of vigilantes and personnel of the anti-drug corps was required to rescue the baby and take him to a hospital. He also appealed to the state government and security operatives to come to their aid, as the area had become unsafe.
Dr Malik Abdulganiyu of Unguwan Zaka, Gbeganu, also spoke out about the hoodlums’ violent behaviour. Last week, they unleashed mayhem on his community, operating in the night with weapons. He called on parents to prevail on their wards to stop their nefarious activities and asked the government to create jobs and engage youths to reduce restiveness and idleness.
