The Kwara House of Assembly screened and affirmed Abiodun Adebara as the state's substantive top justice.
Mr Adebara's approval was reviewed at the plenary on Wednesday by the Committee of Whole, headed by the speaker, Yakubu Salihu.
In response to lawmakers' queries, Mr Adebara vowed to expedite the administration of justice in the state.
He promised a positive working rapport with the three branches of government in order to advance the state forward.
The justice, on the other hand, requested more budgetary allocations for the state judicial in order to handle the issue of insufficient courts and other challenges in the third branch of government.
Meanwhile, the house approved the nominations of Abubakar Uthman, Oyedun Juliana, Yusuf Aremu, and Abdul Gana Lukpada as chairperson and members of the state's Fiscal Responsibility Commission, respectively.
The speaker directed the clerk of the house, Halimah Kperogi, to convey the confirmation of the appointments to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
