In a statement released by the command's Public Relations Officer, Muazu instructed that all nooks and crannies, including bus stops and motor parks, must be effectively manned during and after the celebrations. He also directed the Critical Infrastructures and National Assets Department, and the Anti Vandal Unit of the Corps, to ensure thorough surveillance of all critical infrastructures and national assets to prevent any form of sabotage during the celebrations.
Congratulating Muslims for a successful Ramadan, the commandant urged them to use the gains from the period to show love to mankind. He also reminded the public that the safety and security of the people is the responsibility of everyone, and encouraged them to report any suspicious activity to the security agencies.
As part of its efforts to ensure safety and security during the celebrations, the NSCDC also warned against the use of fireworks, commonly known as "knockouts," during the period. The commandant cautioned that the use of such items could cause panic and fear, and urged parents and guardians to monitor their children and ensure that they do not engage in such activities.
