"We never believed that this could happen, but we thank God for giving us hope," Senator Tinubu stated. Referring to her husband's age, she affirmed, "Asiwaju is 71, and I will be 63. I bet I will be one of the oldest first ladies Nigeria has had. We need the grace of God and everyone to do what they are expected to do."
Expressing gratitude for the divine intervention that has accompanied their political journey, Senator Tinubu recalled previous instances when God had shown His favor, such as during the primaries.
