DSS Invites Suspended EFCC Chairman Bawa for Investigation
The Department of State Services (DSS) has taken a significant step in its investigation as it invites Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In an official press release, signed by Peter Afunanya, the Public Relations Officer of the DSS National Headquarters, it has been confirmed that Bawa has responded to the invitation from the agency.

The invitation is directly linked to ongoing investigative activities involving the former EFCC chairman. The DSS has been proactive in addressing the weighty allegations of abuse of office that have been levelled against Bawa. This development comes after President Bola Tinubu took decisive action on Wednesday, placing the EFCC chairman on an indefinite suspension in light of the serious allegations.

The DSS, as a key agency responsible for maintaining law and order, is known for its commitment to thorough investigations. By inviting Bawa, they aim to delve into the alleged misconduct and ensure that a fair and unbiased examination takes place. This move showcases the agency's determination to uphold the principles of accountability and transparency in public office.

While the specific details of the investigation remain undisclosed, it is evident that the DSS is treating the matter with utmost seriousness. The decision to invite Bawa reflects the agency's commitment to carrying out a comprehensive inquiry and gathering all relevant information before reaching any conclusions.
