Emphasising the importance of prioritising Nigeria's interests, Mr Ogah stated, "We must put Nigeria first. Nigeria is more important than anybody." He urged politicians not to lose hope and to continue their political journey despite any setbacks. He emphasised that once someone has won an election, it is crucial to be a good sportsman and provide support.
Mr Ogah, who represents the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia in the 10th assembly, shared his views during an interview with newsmen on Monday. The video of his interview conducted by Channels TV surfaced on social media on Tuesday.
Expanding on his perspective, Mr Ogah stated, "And that is why I always say, whoever is in that seat, give the person support until either the court says otherwise or God says otherwise." He emphasised the need to respect the mandate given to the elected representative by the people.
Last week, Mr Ogah's praise for President Tinubu drew condemnation from his party supporters. Despite the ongoing legal challenge by the Labour Party against the election result that brought Mr Tinubu into office on February 25th, Mr Ogah openly expressed his support for the president.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi has reiterated his determination to reclaim his mandate from President Tinubu through the court. The Labour Party's stance remains divided, with Amobi Ogah's support for the president contrasting with the ongoing legal battle.
