NDDC to Revive Free Health Care Program for Niger Delta Communities
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has announced its plans to reactivate the Free Health Care Programme in the Niger Delta region. The commission is committed to enhancing healthcare delivery to the people and providing quality medical services in line with its mandate. The Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Major General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd), expressed this commitment during a visit from a beneficiary of the commission's healthcare intervention, Master Miracle Nwagbara, and his parents at the NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt.

Major General Airhiavbere emphasized the importance of the Free Health Care Programme in improving the well-being of the people in the Niger Delta region. He stated, "We are fully aware of the healthcare challenges faced by our people, and that is why the NDDC is committed to ensuring that quality medical services are accessible to everyone in the region." The reactivation of the program aims to address these challenges and provide much-needed healthcare support to communities in the Niger Delta.

The Free Health Care Programme has been a significant initiative of the NDDC, targeting various communities in the region. It seeks to improve access to healthcare services, especially for vulnerable populations who may face financial constraints in seeking medical assistance. By reinstating this program, the NDDC aims to alleviate the burden on individuals and families in the Niger Delta, ensuring they have access to essential healthcare services.

During the visit, the Nwagbara family expressed their gratitude to the NDDC for the healthcare intervention that benefited their child. They acknowledged the positive impact it had on their lives and the importance of such initiatives in the region. The Executive Director assured them that the NDDC would continue its efforts to enhance healthcare delivery and support more individuals in need.

The reactivation of the Free Health Care Programme by the NDDC signifies the commission's dedication to improving the health outcomes of the people in the Niger Delta region. It reflects their commitment to fulfilling their mandate of sustainable development and ensuring the well-being of the communities they serve. By prioritizing quality medical services and accessibility, the NDDC aims to make a significant difference in the lives of the people in the Niger Delta and contribute to their overall development and prosperity.
