In a congratulatory letter addressed to the assembly members in recognition of their successful conduct of elections for various principal positions, President Tinubu described their election as a signal of a new era where campaign promises would be fulfilled.

President Tinubu extended his heartfelt congratulations to Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abbas on their election as President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives, respectively. He also celebrated the victories of Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau and House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.
