Tinubu Engages Traditional Rulers at Aso Rock, Pledges Progress
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, held a meeting with representatives of traditional rulers from across the country at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja. 

Led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the traditional rulers visited the President to convey their congratulations and express their commitment to supporting him in the task of running the nation. The Sultan highlighted the diverse expertise within the council of traditional rulers and assured the President of their readiness to provide assistance whenever called upon.

The traditional rulers expressed their confidence in Tinubu's ability to lead the country towards progress and pledged their support in concretizing the renewed hope agenda. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Adewusi, emphasized the importance of utilizing the traditional rulers' influence in addressing the issue of insecurity, urging President Tinubu to make more use of their collective wisdom and resources.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, as well as prominent traditional rulers including the Emir of Kano, Obi of Onitsha, Tor Tiv, Etsu Nupe, Deji of Akure, Shehu of Borno, Elegushi of Ikate, Jaja of Opobo, Lamido of Adamawa, Emir of Zauzzau, Gbong Gwom Jos, Attah Igala, Alake of Egbaland, and a representative of the Oba of Benin.

The gathering provided an opportunity for President Tinubu to engage with the traditional rulers, tap into their wealth of knowledge and experience, and foster collaboration in addressing critical national issues. The President expressed his gratitude for their visit and assured them that their voices and perspectives would be valued as he strives to lead the nation towards a prosperous future.

The meeting between President Tinubu and the traditional rulers signifies a recognition of the vital role they play in Nigerian society and the collective effort required to tackle the nation's challenges. The exchange of ideas and support from these influential figures will contribute to shaping policies and initiatives that prioritize the welfare and progress of the Nigerian people.
