In a statement, Binidodogha distanced himself from a publication that purportedly carried his signature in support of Ogbuku's continuation as the head of the NDDC management team, despite the dissolution of the NDDC board. He clarified that he had not authorized the use of his name in the said statement, which sought to counter the opinions of the Coalition of ex-agitators in Niger Delta regarding Ogbuku's leadership.
"As a royal father, I shouldn’t be caught in the web of arguments and counter arguments. That will not be of any benefit to the people of Niger Delta region," Binidodogha asserted, emphasizing his commitment to promoting peace and development in the region.
He further expressed concern over the use of ex-agitators' leaders' names in publications without their approval or consent, urging the NDDC Managing Director to refrain from such actions. Binidodogha pointed out that there is a platform called the ex-agitators leadership forum, where he serves as the chairman, and other groups like the Coalition of ex-agitators in Niger Delta, which he aims to bring together to foster peace and development.
The Chairman of the First Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme called on Dr. Samuel Ogbuku to act as a true leader and avoid employing divisive tactics that may lead to lawlessness and unrest in the region. Binidodogha proposed that, given the opportunity, he could engage with the Coalition of ex-agitators in Niger Delta as a spiritual father, traditional ruler, and leader, capable of addressing issues that promote peace and development in the region.
He stressed the importance of honesty and truthfulness in all actions and advised against unnecessary distractions that could hinder progress in the region. Binidodogha urged everyone to remain focused on the common goal of achieving peace and development for the benefit of the Niger Delta community.
