Senator Folarin
Senator Teslim Folarin, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship election held in Oyo State on March 28, has expressed his belief that he was treated unfairly as part of the political maneuvering within the APC during the presidential election on February 25, which saw President Bola Tinubu emerge as the winner.

Senator Folarin made these remarks while addressing APC members at a reception and victory party in Idigbaro, Ologuneru area of Ibadan.

Senator Folarin highlighted the success of the APC in the state, having won the three senatorial seats in Oyo South, Oyo Central, and Oyo North, as well as nine out of the 14 federal constituency seats.

He emphasised that the APC is currently the strongest party in Oyo State. However, he expressed his disappointment at the outcome of the governorship election, stating, "On the governorship election, we were thrown under the bus."

Despite the setback, Senator Folarin assured party members that efforts are underway to reconcile with aggrieved members and that the APC will soon regain its strength in the state.

He called for patience from Nigerians regarding the policies and actions of President Bola Tinubu, describing them as a courageous move to uplift the country from its current challenges.

Honorable Remi Abasi Oseni, the member representing Ibarapa/Ido Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, also appealed for patience and understanding.

He acknowledged the support of party leaders and members in the federal constituency and assured Nigerians that the Tinubu-led administration at the national level is committed to addressing the challenges facing the country.

He expressed confidence that Nigeria will experience positive changes, emphasising the importance of prayers and giving the leadership time to implement their plans.
