Man United legend Van der Sar in stable condition after brain haemorrhage
Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar is currently in intensive care but in a "stable condition" after a brain haemorrhage in the early hours of Friday.

According to a statement from his former club Ajax, "On Friday, Edwin van der Sar had bleeding around his brain. He's currently in the hospital in the intensive care unit and is in stable condition."

The club expressed their good wishes, stating, "Everyone at Ajax wishes Edwin a speedy recovery. We're thinking of you."

Manchester United also responded to the news on social media, sending their support, "Sending all our love and strength to you, Edwin."

Van der Sar, who recently served as the chief executive of Ajax, began his professional career with the club in 1990. Throughout his illustrious career, he played for other top European clubs such as Juventus, Fulham, and Manchester United, where he achieved great success.

During his six-year tenure at Manchester United, Van der Sar won four Premier League titles, the Champions League, two League Cups, three FA Community Shield titles, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

After retiring in 2011, Van der Sar briefly returned to play for VV Noordwijk. His contributions to football as both a player and an executive have made him a revered figure in the sport.

The football community and fans around the world are now anxiously awaiting updates on Van der Sar's condition, hoping for his swift recovery.
