Nigerian Army Stresses Continuous Training for Optimum Performance
The Nigerian Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) emphasised the importance of continuous training for officers and soldiers to maintain professionalism and optimise performance.

This message was conveyed by Maj.-Gen. Kelvin Aligbe during the closing of the 2023 Combined Mid-Year Courses Appraisal Curriculum Harmonisation Workshop and Research and Development Conference held in Minna.

The aim of the event was to enhance the capacity and professionalism of the Nigerian army in line with international standards.

Mr Aligbe highlighted the significance of the conference in providing an avenue for interaction and brainstorming on innovative ideas to further the core mandate of the Army.

In his address, Maj.-Gen. Aligbe urged all participants to apply the knowledge acquired during the workshop to their respective units and schools, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of the Nigerian army's operations.

He expressed his appreciation to the facilitators, moderators, and discussants for their valuable contributions, which enriched the event's discussions.

Furthermore, the commander extended gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, for his support and approval of logistics, which ensured the smooth conduct of the workshop and conference.

The event's success has laid a strong foundation for fostering excellence and professionalism within the Nigerian Army and aligning its practices with global standards.

As the military faces ever-evolving challenges, continuous training and development remain critical to enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of its personnel.

The commitment to constant improvement will further solidify the Nigerian Army's position as a reliable and proficient force in safeguarding the nation's security and upholding peace and stability.
