The committee, led by Christian Chukwu, was officially inaugurated on Friday during a brief ceremony held at the club's corporate office in G.R.A, Enugu. Alongside Chukwu, the committee members include Obiora Obuna as the legal officer/secretary, Patrick Nworji as the scouting director, Fidelis Ilechukwu as the technical adviser, and Emeka Onaga as the team psychologist/coordinator.
Completing the committee are Edwin Obodo as the head of finance, Uchenna Orji as the supporters club chairman, Tony Ugwu as the FA chairman, Wen Udeoji as the club team doctor, Ferdinand Ugwuarua as the club administrative secretary, and Norbert Okolie as the media and communication officer.
In his opening remarks, the administrative secretary Ferdinand Ugwuarua urged the committee members to make their utmost contributions to ensure the recruitment of the best talents. He expressed gratitude to the members for accepting the responsibility and emphasised that the committee's establishment aligns with the club's policy to bring in top-quality players.
Chris Mbah, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, addressed the committee members, urging them to provide the best services required for the task at hand.
Chairman Christian Chukwu encouraged the committee to generate ideas that would facilitate the recruitment of the finest footballers available, making the job of the technical adviser and his team more manageable.
The club expects both new and returning players to report back to camp on July 14, where they will commence preparations for the upcoming season.
