Shehu Sani Criticises Tinubu's Ministerial List
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's recent release of the ministerial list has drawn sharp criticism from former Senator Shehu Sani.

In an ARISE TV interview, Sani expressed his disappointment, particularly with the inclusion of Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State.

Sani, a human rights activist, raised concerns about the lack of consideration for competence in the selection process, describing el-Rufai's inclusion as a "tragedy."

He questioned the decision to appoint someone with a controversial track record to serve the country, given the actions and statements made during el-Rufai's time in office.

The former Senator argued that this is not the time for the President to please or appease former governors, but rather to prioritize the appointment of competent individuals capable of delivering effective governance.

He emphasized that the last eight years under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have been challenging for Nigerians, and now is the opportunity for Tinubu to demonstrate his leadership skills and lead the nation to greater heights.

Sani's critique raises questions about the criteria used in compiling the ministerial list and highlights the importance of appointing individuals with the necessary skills and expertise to address the pressing issues facing the country.

As the Senate reviews the nominations, the focus remains on whether the selected candidates can effectively contribute to the development and progress of Nigeria.
