About four days before the expiration of the 60-day clause requiring the President to submit names of ministerial candidates to the Senate for screening and approval, President Bola Tinubu is failed to do so.

President Tinubu took the oath of office on May 29, when former President Muhammadu Buhari turned over the reins of power to him.

Several Senate insiders informed Prime9jaOnline over the weekend that the upper legislative house had yet to receive the final list of cabinet nominations.

According to presidential sources, the list was ready last week, but the President was making a few changes.

According to one of the sources, the President first penciled down four names in four states, have been withdrawn and replaced with new names.
