Tinubu Empathizes with Nigerians, Promises Inclusive Economy
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed empathy for the hardships faced by Nigerians in the wake of the removal of the petrol subsidy, during a meeting with the National Youth Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from various regions across the country.

The meeting took place at the state house on Thursday, where concerns over the rising cost of living and commodity prices since the subsidy removal were discussed.

Addressing the youth leaders, President Tinubu assured them that he understands the pains they are going through and pledged that his administration would make difficult decisions for the prosperity and unity of the nation.

He recognised the challenges of breaking free from the longstanding burden of fuel subsidy, which has persisted for over four decades.

The President emphasised that the current hardships would pave the way for a more "prosperous, equitable, and inclusive economy" in the future. He urged patience, acknowledging that economic reforms might take time to yield significant results.

Assuring the youth of their inclusion in governance and decision-making processes, President Tinubu underscored his commitment to widening opportunities for women and young citizens.

To achieve this, the federal government plans to collaborate with lending institutions to provide micro-loans at low-interest rates, facilitating economic activities among the people.

At the same meeting, Abdullahi Dayo Israel, the APC National Youth Leader, conveyed congratulations to the President for the party's electoral victory. He also voiced the youths' desire for inclusion in appointments to the dissolved boards and government agencies.

As the nation grapples with the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, President Tinubu's assurance of understanding and empathy brings hope to many Nigerians facing economic challenges.

The commitment to an inclusive economy and active involvement of the youth in governance signifies a promising step towards a more prosperous future for the nation.

However, as the government tackles the complexities of economic reforms, patience and cooperation from all sectors of society will be crucial in achieving the envisioned long-term benefits for the country.
