Ahemba made this statement during a press conference in Lafia on Tuesday.
Ahemba's response was prompted by a report circulating in certain sections of the media, suggesting that Governor Sule had devised plans to retire both political figures from active participation in politics at both the national and state levels.
National dailies published a report with the headline "How Gov. Sule Plotted the Exit of Adamu, Al-Makura in Nasarawa Politics."
Ahemba categorically dismissed the report as malicious and aimed at generating unnecessary tension between the governor and his predecessors, both of whom hold leadership roles within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
He highlighted Governor Sule's consistent support for Al-Makura in various political endeavours, including his bid for re-election to the Senate in 2023.
Despite the election results not aligning with their expectations, Al-Makura demonstrated statesmanship by voluntarily withdrawing his petition challenging the election outcome at the tribunal.
Ahemba further explained that Governor Sule had recommended Al-Makura as one of three candidates to be considered for a ministerial appointment from the state, as requested by President Bola Tinubu. However, he clarified that the governor lacks the authority to directly appoint a minister.
Addressing allegations surrounding Sen. Abdullahi Adamu's recent resignation as National Chairman of the APC, Ahemba emphasised that this move was driven by internal disagreements within the National Working Committee of the party and had no connection to Governor Sule's actions.
He reiterated the strong rapport between Governor Sule and other APC leaders, assuring the public that any contrary notions were mere fabrications.
Ahemba concluded by reaffirming the governor's profound respect for the founding fathers of the state, including both Adamu and Al-Makura. He urged the public to disregard the false publication in its entirety.
