Troops Rescue Abducted Educator and Son
Troops of Operation Haderin Daji, specifically from section 1, demonstrated their effectiveness on Friday by successfully rescuing the former Provost of the Federal College of Education Technical (FCET), Gusau, Dr. Hassan Abubakar Augie, and his son from captivity.

The daring operation took place in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.

Reliable information obtained by Prime 9ja Online reveals that the troops were stationed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Mada in Gusau when they embarked on a routine patrol along the Shemori-Yandoto road in the Marke general area.

During this operation, they unexpectedly encountered an undisclosed number of heavily armed terrorists and responded swiftly by engaging them in a fierce exchange of gunfire.

As recounted by the source, this resolute action resulted in the successful rescue of the abducted individuals.

The intense gunfight between the troops and the terrorists lasted for several hours, compelling the bandits to retreat and seek refuge within the nearby forest.

In the aftermath of the confrontation, the Operation Haderin Daji troops wasted no time and launched a determined pursuit of the fleeing criminals into the forested terrain.

This tenacious pursuit ultimately forced the bandits to abandon their captives, Dr. Hassan Abubakar Augie and his son, who were successfully liberated from their captors without any harm befalling them.

Additionally, the troops managed to seize two operational motorcycles that the fleeing bandits had left behind.

In a post-rescue interview, Dr. Augie and his son recounted the harrowing experience of their abduction, detailing how they were forcibly taken from their residence in Gusau and held captive within the forested area.

Prime 9ja Online can now confirm that the abductees have been joyously reunited with their family, marking a triumphant conclusion to their distressing ordeal.

The successful operation serves as a testament to the dedication and effectiveness of the Operation Haderin Daji troops, who displayed unwavering bravery and commitment in ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens.
