Abia State Governor's Aide Disowns Resignation Rumors
Chukwunenye Nwaogu Alajemba, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti on homeland security in Abia State, has vehemently denied recent reports claiming that he had resigned from his position.

In a statement released on Saturday, Alajemba expressed his disappointment with the news reports, which he believes were designed to create discord between him and Governor Otti while misinforming the people of Abia.

The news of Alajemba's alleged resignation began circulating on social media platforms on Saturday morning, where it was suggested that he had resigned with immediate effect. These reports further claimed that Alajemba's decision to resign was based on his perception of the governor's autocratic governing style.

In a swift response, Alajemba issued a statement disowning the reports and labelling them as ridiculous and false. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to Governor Alex Otti, describing him as a genuine leader, mentor, and friend.

Alajemba stated, "I want to unequivocally refute this claim as it has nothing to do with me. The Governor of Abia State is a genuine leader who has mentored me with grace, and he continues to serve Abia State and Nigeria selflessly with vigour, patriotism, and candour."

He went on to criticise the publisher of the news report, accusing them of being a "shameless mischief-maker" and highlighting their lack of knowledge regarding his residence and personal matters. Alajemba firmly urged the people of Abia State to disregard the fake news of his resignation, emphasising that it was a deliberate attempt to tarnish the reputation of Governor Alex Otti and himself.

Alajemba concluded by assuring that he would soon return to Nigeria to continue his duties on behalf of Governor Otti and the people of Abia State. His disavowal of the resignation rumours aims to put an end to the misinformation campaign and reaffirm his allegiance to the governor.
