 The Nigerian Army has killed a wanted notorious bandit known as Mai-Nasara in Kebbi State's Sangeko Forest.

The team also assassinated two other suspected bandits who were thought to be members of the same gang.

According to a press statement signed by Kebbi State Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Aliyu, on Monday.

AbdulRahman Usman, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, was quoted by Idris as revealing the success story.

While applauding the efforts of security personnel in combating crimes and criminalities, particularly in the state's southern region, Usman urged residents to provide the necessary cooperation and support for the personnel to succeed.

"Your assistance and cooperation are critical for the security agencies to achieve the desired goal of flushing out criminals and restoring peace and normalcy in our land," he said.

"Therefore, there is a need for people to assist the security agencies with credible intelligence towards successful combats."
