Employees of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) gathered at the organization's Abuja offices to celebrate the dismissal of Garba Abubakar, the organization's Chief Executive and Registrar-General, whom they described as a "vicious tyrant."
The staff, who were shown dancing in a viral video, thanked President Bola Tinubu for selecting a new Registrar-general for the Commission, Hussaini Sani.
On Monday, a banner listing the alleged offenses of the fired Registrar-General was erected at the entrance to the CAC headquarters.
They emphasized the need of the new CEO refraining from continuing the former helmsman's anti-labor actions.
Remember that in 2017, CAC employees worked under the aegis of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service, Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPTRE) protested over poor welfare.
The CAC workers, who are members of AUPTRE, an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), also offered prayers for the newly appointed Chief Executive and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Hussaini Sani.
