Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan was affirmed as the duly elected candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial Election earlier this month by the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division.

The court dismissed Abubakar Ohere's appeal for lack of merit.

Earlier this month, the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal in Lokoja declared Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial Election.

The court also ruled that Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was the legitimate winner of the February senatorial election.

However, Ohere went to the appellate court to seek redress, but the court upheld Akpoti-Uduagan as the poll's winner.
