The victims of the accident included a pregnant woman and her two children. While two people tragically lost their lives in the accident, two children sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Additionally, the LASTMA officer involved in the incident was severely attacked by an angry mob and is currently unconscious, receiving treatment in a hospital.
The incident generated outrage in the area, leading to a protest as irate individuals attempted to take the law into their own hands and attack the LASTMA officer further.
