The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Kogi State over the demise of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Majesty, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 92.

In a statement issued by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Sunday, the President said he was deeply saddened by the news of the death of the respected traditional ruler, who he described as a peace-loving, affable, and cerebral leader.

The President recalled his personal interactions with the late Ohinoyi, who he said was always supportive of his administration and the national development agenda. He praised the late monarch for his contributions to the unity, stability, and progress of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.

"The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland was in a class of his own. He was highly respected and admired for his deep insights, wisdom, and sophistication. He had a masterful way of handling issues. He was very knowledgeable and wise," the President said.

"May Almighty Allah grant His Majesty Aljannah Firdaus," the President prayed.

The President also commiserated with the family, friends, and associates of the late Ohinoyi, as well as the Ebira community and the entire Kogi State. He urged them to take solace in the legacy of peace and fellowship that the late monarch left behind.

The President assured them of his solidarity and support during this difficult time of mourning. He prayed that God would comfort them and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
