This information was disclosed in a statement by the Spokesperson of the Corps in Osun, Mr Adeniyi Brown, and shared with journalists on Tuesday in Osogbo.
Brown revealed that the suspects, who include a 43-year-old automobile mechanic, a 56-year-old driver, and a native doctor, were arrested by Amotekun operatives in Iwo. He stated that the arrests were made based on intelligence regarding their reprehensible activities.
Upon questioning, the suspects confessed to exhuming bodies from graves and selling the body parts for rituals aimed at making money, according to the corps spokesperson.
Brown further stated that the Amotekun Commander in the state, retired Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, has ordered that the suspects be handed over to the police for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
The corps commander was quoted by Brown as urging residents to heighten their awareness of security and to report any suspicious activities in their vicinity to the relevant security agencies. Adewinmbi's message to the public was, "When you see something, please always say something."
