The group has generously contributed clothing, cleaning supplies, and a sum of N3.9 million to aid those affected by the incident.
The National Secretary of the group, Alhaji Al-Qasim Yahaya, announced this act of kindness in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja. He shared that the donations were personally delivered to the victims by a delegation from the organisation. This delegation was led by Sheikh Abdul’ahad Ibrahim-Niass, who holds the position of Chairman at the NIASSE International Foundation.
The donated items were distributed among the victims at two locations in Kaduna - the 44 Nigerian Army Hospital and the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital. These are the places where most of the casualties, predominantly women and children, are currently receiving medical care.
In his statement, Mr Yahaya expressed, ‘‘As an Islamic organisation whose members were affected by the tragedy that led to the loss of lives of many innocent souls and in several others were injured, we decided to donate relief items to our brothers and sisters. We distributed 150 wrappers to women, 100 gowns to men, 50 sets of readymade clothes for women, 70 sets of readymade clothes for men, 100 sets of slippers, detergents and N10,000 cash to 100 victims.
‘‘This is part of our efforts to improve the living conditions of the victims who are devastated by the recent drone misfire in Tudun Biri village in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.”
