Obi Calls for Compensation Foundation Following Kaduna Bombing

Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, has expressed his disbelief that the recent bombing in Kaduna was an act of God.

Obi voiced his views during a Twitter space interaction on Sunday, urging governments and well-meaning Nigerians to establish a foundation to compensate the families affected by the incident and similar past occurrences.

It is worth recalling that the bombing incident, which was caused by the Nigerian Army last week, resulted in no fewer than 87 fatalities and 76 injuries.

In response to this tragic event, Obi appealed to security agencies to utilise reliable human intelligence reports before launching any offensive attacks to prevent innocent casualties in the future.

He stated, “The bombing that happened in Kaduna that took the lives of about 120 people was never an act of God! I don’t believe in that.”
