Trust TV wins Media House of the Year award

Trust TV, the television arm of the Media Trust Group (MTG), has been honoured with the Media House of the Year award at the 3rd edition of the League of Extraordinary Achievers Award (LEAA).

The award ceremony, organised by Gaze Production, was held in Kaduna on Sunday, December 3, 2023. The event recognised personalities and organisations that have made a difference in various fields of endeavour.

Trust TV emerged as the media house of the year for its investigative and educative contents that cover various aspects of life. The station, which was launched in 2021, has gained popularity among viewers for its balanced and objective reporting of political, sports, education, and other issues.

The Convener of LEAA, Adeyemi Adekunle, said he was impressed by the quality and diversity of Trust TV’s programmes. He said, “I have been following Trust TV for some time and I noticed that it is a unique station and if you check the programmes of the station, it is balanced across the spares of life. Their political programme, sports programme, education programme are awesome. Trust TV is doing well and what we do in LEAA, we identify organisations that are doing well and that have paid their price.”

The award was received by Daily Trust Bureau Chief, Kaduna/Kano, Ahmed Datti, on behalf of Trust TV. He thanked the organisers for finding Trust TV worthy of the award and dedicated it to the management and staff of the station. He said, “This award is a testimony of the hard work and dedication of our team at Trust TV. We are grateful to our viewers for their support and feedback. We will continue to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in our service to the nation.”
