Atiku's ex-spokesperson meets Tinubu, vows to support his administration

Daniel Bwala, a former presidential campaign spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 elections, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

He spoke to State House correspondents after a closed-door meeting and said he was willing to work with the President Tinubu-led administration.

He said he was ready to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) and leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if that was what it took to support Tinubu.

When asked if he would switch to the APC, he said: “I told him today, I am committing to play my part to support your administration, and I have no apologies to anybody.

“APC is a party. President Bola Tinubu is my motivation; if supporting him will take me to APC, so be it.”

Bwala also expressed his joy on X in a post.

He shared a photo of him shaking hands with the president.

He also uploaded a 13-second video of the event.

“Today I was delighted to meet @officialABAT, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, (GCFR) in the Villa to show appreciation and support for the bold decisions he is taking to deal with the crisis confronting our dear country,” he wrote in the post.

Prime 9ja Online reports that Bwala was one of those who left the APC after the party announced a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election.

He had said on Channels Television’s Sunrise that Tinubu’s choice of former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate, was not “good news for the APC.”

He had said that the APC had chosen “politics over unity” and neglected the values of “inclusivity, tolerance, common prosperity and diversity.”
