A woman has lost her head at a hotel in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
The Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, confirmed the gruesome incident and said he had directed an investigation into the case.
CP Babatola vowed to apprehend and prosecute the culprit and any accomplices involved.
He also advised hotel owners to report any suspicious individuals to the police without delay.
The Commissioner stressed that the security and welfare of all citizens are paramount and that such acts of violence will not be condoned.
He said the Adamawa State Police Command, in partnership with other security agencies, is working relentlessly to bring the culprit to book and handle the situation according to the law.
The Police Chief urged citizens to stay calm, assuring them that every measure is being taken to protect their safety.
Reports say that the suspect had booked into the hotel with the deceased, but he later told the receptionist that he had to go out for a short while.
However, when hotel staff entered the suspect’s room, they found the headless body of the young lady.
