John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, a veteran actor in Nollywood, has reportedly passed away. The actor's death occurred at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State, following a prolonged battle with illness.

Mr Ibu, who was 62 years old, had been grappling with health issues that eventually led to the amputation of his two legs. He was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels, a condition that caused constant clotting of the blood in his leg.

In an effort to manage his health challenges, which posed a significant risk to his life, his family had solicited funds from Nigerians. They explained that the actor's condition necessitated the amputation due to the constant clotting of blood in his leg and other health challenges.
