Meanwhile, the Lokoja-Benin road reconstruction faces an uncertain future due to delays and a perceived lack of commitment from the contractors. The government has expressed dissatisfaction with the project's progress and may terminate the current contract.
Minister Umahi has criticized the attitude of some foreign contractors, calling them "unpatriotic." The government has pledged to prioritize supporting local contractors moving forward.
